Feb. 9th - Disney Plot
Rey (as Anna) ✦ Luke (as Kristoff)
Looking for Sven PG - Just some kissing Complete |
They had to find Sven, that was all there was to it. He would be so confused, nothing would be familiar, there wasn’t the snow he was used to, well there was snow but not like the snow at home. At least Luke had had a dream about him which meant that they could find him. Rey was hurrying out the door and as she did, she glanced in the mirror and saw her hair. “Oh no, that’s not right,” she said and took down her three mini buns and quickly braided her hair into two pigtails. “That’s better,’ she nodded and ran out the door, stopping to grab some carrots and found Luke waiting for her. “I’m sorry I’m late,” she said breathlessly. “I had to get these and my hair was...well that doesn’t matter but we have carrots so we need to go before it gets dark! I hope Sven is okay!” Rey had no idea why she was concerned about Sven or to be honest who or what Sven was but Luke had a dream which was probably a Force vision and what was a Force vision anyway? She shook her head and grabbed his hand “Let’s go!” Luke took Rey’s hand, but he paused for a moment, squeezing it gently as he looked at her with reassurance. “He’s fine, Rey,” he told her calmly, still more Jedi master than ice cutter, at least for the moment. “We’re going to find him and he’ll be okay.” The pause wasn’t meant to be for too long before they left the room to venture into Atlantis in search of their four-footed friend. Rey hadn’t expected him to take her hand and she also hadn’t expected him to sound so gentle. He was still Luke of course but he was someone else too. Just like she had somehow known she needed to change her hair. “I know he’s fine,” she said. Then a name popped into her head. “Elsa. We have to go to her after we find Sven. We need her to come home.” “She will, Rey, I promise.” Somehow, it didn’t feel strange to be reassuring her about someone named Elsa, even if the name seemed unfamiliar to Luke’s conscious mind. It felt natural, too, to touch her hand. Luke had already liked Rey a great deal. She reminded him a lot of himself, particularly at that age, but now he felt a new kind of pull toward her. “Do you think we should try the zoo?” he wondered after they’d been walking a few minutes. “Someone suggested he might be there, but I can’t imagine Sven in a zoo.” For her own part, Rey felt more comfortable with Luke now than she had before. It was strange seeing him so young after having just met him on the island but she was getting used to it. Now he seemed more approachable and she liked what she was seeing beneath the Jedi Master. “I hope he’s not in the zoo, he would hate that so much,” she said, shaking her head. “But he might have gone there if he sensed other animals were there.” Chances were that Sven couldn’t sense anything at least as far as the Force was concerned but things were so mixed up in Rey’s mind that she had no idea. “Well there’s the zoo, I wonder where we should start looking?” “I have a feeling we won’t find him there,” Luke decided after a moment. “Let’s try the stables first.” That was a much more logical place for him to be, he thought. It made much more sense than the zoo or anywhere else in Atlantis he could think of. Rey looked at the zoo, thinking about the animals being unable to leave. Locked gates, closed doors, she’d lived with them for most of her life. Even though she knew why things had been that way now, it was still hard to think about. For a moment she shook her head as if to clear it, wondering what in the world she was thinking of. “You’re right,” she said, looking up at Luke. “he wouldn’t be here. The stables sound better.” Nodding, Luke led her away from the zoo and they made their way towards the stables. Looking over toward her, he squeezed Rey’s hand. “I’m glad you’re here with me. I’m glad I’m not looking for him alone.” “Me too. I wouldn’t want you to have to do it by yourself,” she replied. It just made sense to her. He’d helped her and now she would help him. Even if she was feeling strange and couldn’t remember exactly where they were and why she kept wanting to call him Kristoff when clearly it was Luke. Or was it? She had no idea anymore but she was comfortable with him, holding his hand felt nice and they were going to find Sven. They made it to the stables after a little walking and Luke found himself drawn to one of the stalls. There was a creature inside that one of the workers there told them was a moose. It almost resembled the Sven from his dreams, although he couldn’t be certain it was the same kind of animal at all. “Hey, there,” he spoke softly, reaching out his hand to the moose. “He looks bigger than Sven,” said Rey, not at all sure she wanted to get close to the thing but Luke seemed confident and she trusted him. “But he doesn’t seem unfriendly.” Not that she was getting close enough to find out, she had wrapped her free arm around the arm that held Luke’s hand in hers and moved as close to him as she could get. “No, this isn’t him, but I like him,” Luke admitted, smiling as the moose nuzzled his hand. “It seems to be mutual. Turning toward her, he saw how she’d moved closer to him and he pulled his hand away from the animal, shifting to wrap both arms around Rey. “You don’t need to be afraid, Rey. He isn’t going to hurt you,” he reassured her, sensing her apprehension. The moose did seem friendly, she thought and she didn’t mind Luke pulling her closer in the least. “No I know he won’t,” she said and slowly reached out and touched the moose on the nose. “It’s so soft!” she said in surprise. The moose sniffed her hand and Rey laughed, the sound clear and bright in the darkened stables. It felt good laugh, she thought, it wasn’t something that she had had the opportunity to do much of in her life. Luke looked down at Rey, enchanted by the sound of her laugh. It made her seem even prettier than before. For a moment, he just watched her, enjoying the expression on her face. She was beautiful. How had he never noticed how incredibly beautiful she was? Almost of its own accord, Luke’s hand moved to her face, tracing the line of her jaw and then almost without giving it a conscious thought he was leaning down to brush her lips with his. Rey was shocked and for a split second, she didn’t know what to do but it was only a split second. She leaned in and kissed him back, her lips parting beneath his of their own accord. This was the last thing that she had ever expected to happen with Luke but it was happening and she was very happy that it was. |
