PRE-DATE W/ MASON
BELLA ✦ ILIANA ✦ EMILIA
Em & Bella help Iliana get ready G - Really low ✦ fun Complete log |
The second that Bella found out that Iliana was going on a date she insisted that they get together and Bella helped her get ready, Bella told Emilia about it and quickly told her she was coming too. That’s how the three of them ended up sitting in Iliana’s room with clothing everywhere, shoes spread out on the floor and make-up piled up too. Bella was sitting on the end of the bed with her legs crossed as she flipped through a magazine for ideas. “Where is Mason taking you anyways? Do you know? Or is it a surprise?” Bella asked as folded down a page of the magazine. “That’s going to sway the style and hair!” She said looking back up grinning. “The theme park” she said with a smile. This was not Iliana’s first date. She’d dated a lot back home but Mason was different. He understood who Iliana was and what that meant. He wasn’t scared of the Wild Power. “He told me because I insisted I know for the sake of my hair. And then he laughed.” she said with a bright smile. Iliana picked up one of the lip glosses. “I totally can’t do dark, I look like a vampire if I do dark. But also I’m too blonde to do pink because then I look like a ghost. And um, do I look stuck in the nineties? Clothes changed so much and I’m not super fond of the whole skinny jeans thing.” Laughing, Emilia said, “I don’t think I’m really the person for ask about fashion,” she said, shaking her head as she studied their makeup choices and started to consider good theme park hairstyles. “It was barely past the 90s for me and the wizarding world doesn’t exactly keep up with Muggle fashion.” Hopefully Bella would have some advice in that area. “Nothing too elaborate with your hair, though, I think. It’ll just get mussed on the rides. We could add a bit of curl, though. I could even charm up some lowlights if you want.” Being a witch did have it’s advantages. No dye needed for a temporary change in color. "That is going to be so much fun!" She said grinning as she got off the bed and started moving some clothing around. "You'll probably want pants of some kind because of the rides, a skirt or a dress might not be all that comfortable when upside down, if you do any of those rides," Bella thought as she listened to Emilia talk about hair, she put together One, Two, Three different potential options. "I agree with something easy for your hair, especially with the rides." “Oh those are all amazing, I love the little scarf from the last one. I could go for that look, or the first one?” she suggested. She loved all of the outfits chosen. And she was way too over excited about the whole date plan. He’d asked her out admittedly cause of the gossip. But he’d asked her out. “I’m happy to go with what you guys think for my hair. I’ll go with the third outfit I think so whatever you think suits with that? OMG it’s been so freaking long since I’ve gotten to do a pre date thing, Keller freaked out every time a boy even looked at me in case they were working for the Nightworld. I get it, I mean, she was looking out for me but yeah. I miss her, she’s my bloodsister, but it’s nice to get to do this kind of thing and not have to look over my shoulder every day. So, thanks guys.” Emilia nodded her approval. “I think I like that one, too.” She thought about it for a moment, tilting her head. “I’m thinking some soft curls for your hair and I can charm the hat to stay in place, too, so it won’t fly off on any of the rides.” “Now,” she said looking over at Bella, “what are we going to do for her makeup?” "I know what you mean, missing people, but hey, we are here for you, and we will make sure you knock his socks off when Mason sees you." Bella really did understand, she missed Cleo and Rikki more than she wanted to admit to, they might not be bloodsisters, but they were close enough. "It helps having a witch who can charm hair not to go insane!" Bella laughed glancing at Em. "And maybe something low key, natural?" Iliana raised an eyebrow. “Waaiiit you can do that with magic? Can I do that with magic? Is this something you can teach me, Winnie never taught me anything like that with it.” she marvelled as the possibilities seemed endless. “Can you charm make up to come off itself. Like at night could you curl up in bed and use some spell to take it off. Or is that much wishful thinking.” Iliana’s power was still raw, still uncontrolled outside of the blue fire. And she was pretty sure it would be some super insult to Hecate to use it for stupid stuff. “Do you guys have a personal gain rule?” she asked Emilia before breaking out into a grin as she looked down at the clothes they’d picked for her. “You guys are amazing for doing this, for real it’s been so long since I just got to be a normal girl.” she thanked them all over again. Emilia laughed and shook her head. “We have spells that are forbidden because they will seriously hurt or kill someone, but other than that, there aren’t a lot of rules about what we can do with our magic,” she explained as she pulled out her wand and started to charm in a few curls in Iliana’s hair. “I’m not sure if it works the same with your powers as with my magic,” she admitted. “For me, hair and makeup is just a pretty simple glamor, but I can’t do much beyond that to change my appearance, not without a potion or something.” “Talk about saving a lot of time, the rest of us have to use things like curling irons and blow dryers,” Bella teased. She was more of beach waves natural kind of girl, but she knew how long it took to get ready sometimes, her magic didn’t help with getting ready. “I don’t know what all I can do yet. I know the big wild power part but all the spells and potions and stuff I’m still learning. I was gonna read the book series I’m from, see what the other witches can do but...kinda wary of it” she admitted as Emilia started to curl her hair with magic. Iliana was used to curling irons and blow dryers. She was used to a normal life. And weirdly this, the witch charming her hair into curls and the mermaid helping her pick her outfits for her date with a dhampir. That might have been the most normal she’d ever felt in Atlantis. “Well, you could always have someone else do it if it wouldn’t be too weird,” Emilia suggested. “Or ask one of the relations specialists to look up the full range of your powers and maybe work with one of the magic specialists on how to use them.” They had a good team here, she knew, even if there weren’t any official magic trainers on staff anymore. “You could go talk to them, or maybe find a way to look up just the powers without having to read the books?” Bella wasn’t an expert in that sort of stuff, but she bet there might be a way to potentially figure it out. “There are amazing people here and they’re helping loads. But yeah, I think specifics would help. I might ask them to look up my powers, what I’m supposed to be able to do I guess. But I have plenty of time to work that out after my date so I should totally stop distracting you from this. I just, I know I said it but I love you guys.” she said with a grin as she settled back to have her hair done, despite missing her friends and family, utterly content with her life in this weird but wonderful city. |
