GRANTAIRE AND ENJOLRAS
BACKDATED TO SUNDAY
GRANTAIRE'S ROOM
ADORABLENESS
COMPLETE |
There was something to be said for Sundays, thought Enjolras, as he lay back in the bed, letting his lover sleep. Grantaire had fallen asleep wrapped in his arms as usual and Enjolras didn’t quite want to move yet. Sundays, he thought, were much better when one didn’t have to pay observance to something they had stopped believing in long ago when life had trampled on the people of France. He could not say for sure there was no great entity. He believed in what he knew to be true. But here no one minded that he not show fealty to any such power. And so Sunday had truly become a day of rest. He was finally enjoying his work and his studies of modern law but right then there was nowhere else he would rather be. Well, perhaps here with coffee. Because he smelled coffee. Perhaps he could show fealty to it’s power. He could probably get it and come back without overly disturbing Grantaire. He slept a little sounder with him, perhaps simply because he had not had time to drink so heavily. Removing his arms and placing a soft kiss atop dark curls he followed the siren scent of a morning coffee, smiling softly. Grantaire’s roommate, the young and kind blonde witch seemed to have risen early and prepared coffee for them before leaving the apartment. Grantaire did in fact sleep far more soundly with Enjolras than he did alone. Partly because he did not drink as heavily. And partly because he felt better knowing where his Apollo was when he slept. Knowing that he was alive and well and with him. And, Enjolras moving only slightly disturbed him. He’d only started blinking open his eyes, when the younger man returned with coffee. And, he slowly blinked up at him with a smile. “Morning ‘pollo.” He’d given up trying to argue the nickname. It was just easier that way. It did still bemuse him but he just had decided to let it happen. “Morning. Here.” he said, handing over the coffee with a smile as he moved to sit on the edge of the bed. He was awake now, he was staying awake. “I didn’t make the coffee. Your young roommate deserves the credit for that. Now what exactly have we planned for the first mutual day off we’ve managed in a while. Leaving this room at least?” Grantaire sat up to take the coffee happily, if still slightly sleepily. Leaning up to press a kiss to the warm lips of the god of a man sat beside him. He took a sip of the warm caffeinated goodness, and moaned slightly in appreciation. “She is a coffee goddess.” Putting the mug on the bedside table, the artist flopped back down on the bed. “Leaving this room is overrated. I can think of many productive uses of our time that can happen in this very room.” “Well yes I’m sure you can.” he laughed, still amused at the reaction to the simple cup of coffee. “Though I do worry about the amount of people you worship as deities now. Should I be worried I might lose my place?” He was clearly teasing as he leaned in to repeat the kiss of before. He couldn’t allow them to get too distracted though. “I want to do something today. Go somewhere. As much as I would enjoy indulging you in here. I really do enjoy being here. This city, marvel after marvel reveals itself, I do not believe I will ever tire of it, so come, get dressed. I want to explore.” “Never. You will forever be my major deity. The others only get lip service.” Grantaire chuckled, before sitting up more with a sigh. He’d been hoping for a lazy day. But, he knew his Apollo never could sit still for very long. “You never were good at doing nothing.” Grantaire grumbled as he pulled himself out of the bed to get dressed. “So, where to first, Apollo? Or shall we just see where our feet take us?” “I’m...oddly flattered. I think I’ve been worn down on the Apollo thing.” he said amused. He knew going out wasn’t what Grantaire wanted but he was willing to compromise. “We will come back this evening, spend all evening just relaxing. But give me a few hours, all I ask. And finish your coffee first. I could never part you from it.” Grantaire’s eyes lit up, as he pulled Enjolras into his arms. “I knew I would wear you down eventually. I seem to have that effect on you.” he replied, before kissing his lover once more. A small part of him still amazed that he was allowed to. “You know I would do anything for you, mon couer. If going out is what you wish, then going out is what we shall do.” He laughed at the way Grantaire’s eyes lit up at the admission. “Not in a bad way.” he said softly happy to be pulled into Grantaire’s arms. “And I promise, we won’t stay out all day. You might be willing to stay out all day just to please me but I am open to compromise.” He kissed Grantaire lightly. “This however is not conducive to getting up and going out you know.” Grantaire grinned slightly, before taking Enjolras’ hand, and picking up his coffee. “After you, mon amour”. |
