""Just bloody brilliant!" Alicia snapped as she tossed the mask she was working on across the room, she watched as it puddled on the ground against the concrete wall and groaned in frustration. She'd been working on spells to make it possible for people to go above ground for longer but so far everything was backfiring, and she was getting annoyed. Leaning forward she let her elbows rest on the table as her hands ran through her hair grabbing on tight pulling at the roots without mercy. It was impossible to feel useful, and Alicia hated being locked inside. There were a lot of reasons for it, but she wasn't going to let anyone in on those secrets, at least not know. She picked up another mask and started to work on it but got frustrated and threw it towards the door just as someone walked through. Mona glanced up amused as the mask nearly tripped her up as she walked in. Oh she was silently freaking out. She didn’t like being locked away. Reminded her of the Dollhouse way too much but she was a master at hiding it. “What’d the mask ever do to you?” she asked bemused, holding her work tablet and inputting a few lines of code that… ...did nothing. She sighed and leaned against the door momentarily defeated. Alicia looked over at Mona with a sheepish smile, “Probably whatever your little thing there did to you.” She said noticing the similar defeated look on her face. “Do you get the feeling we are missing something?” Alicia asked after a moment. “So magic and technology both failed. I don’t remember us having a third option so we are absolutely missing something.” she suggested, more than a little irritated. She wasn’t fond of feeling caged. Feeling stuck. “We need to figure this out. It’s ridiculous. But yes. Yes we’re missing something. It’s not a feeling I like.” Sighing Alicia couldn’t decide if she was pleased to hear Mona speak what she was thinking or annoyed by it. Probably both. Frowning she nodded listening to Mona speak basically what she was feeling. “I hate it,” Alicia confirmed. “It’s a bit hard to do recon without being able to you know, go out and about to do it…. Hey, what about…” Alicia paused thinking. “Those little camera thingies attached to flying stuff? I might be able to at least charm something to fly and maybe use the techy stuff attached to it….” She had no idea what she was talking about. Mona wasn't sure and it showed on her face. “I don't have a clue about magic. But I'm willing to try anything right now.” She was trying to hide the fear. She didn't mind being underground. Trapped though. Trapped was too much like… “Let's try. I'll agree to try” “The techy stuff is all new to me," Alicia told her waving off any concept of uncertainty. "We might as well give it a go, nothing else is working." Alicia sighed as she ran a hand over the top of her head. "So, little camera thingies, where do they hide?" Mona sighed, trying to remember where they were kept. It wasn’t often they were needed and she had some idea but… “Daisy will know for sure but I think they’re back this way. Maybe we can figure this out, or maybe we don’t. But it’s doing something” She moved toward the door, a plan in mind making being stuck here just a little easier. |
