"I'm telling you, we're standing there talking about breakfast, okay one might call it bickering about breakfast when out of nowhere he just poof!" Lydia explained as her hands went into the air. "It was blue and bubbly, and I know I'm not the only who has seen it and I want to know where he went and what the hell happened!" There was a fear in her as she thought about the concept that Stiles could have accidentally disappeared as some had a few days ago. Conversations went on about how they hadn't completely left Atlantis, and there were teams searching for the missing, and she should let them do their jobs. Lydia wasn't handling it very well, and she wasn't the only one. Her roommate's girlfriend was one of the ones to vanish which just added to the mystery of it all. Lydia was pacing back and forth as evening came and night set in. Her mind was wondering as she thought of all the possibilities of what could happen and what she could do to save him. She was not going to lose Stiles to some stupid different world again. "At least I can remember him," she muttered to herself and jumped as her phone beeped telling her that those who had gone missing were returned to the spot they were taking from. Wasting no time she ran to where she and Stiles had been that morning. "Where the hell did you go?!" She snapped as she threw her arms around his neck hugging him. She was holding on tight when the faint scent caught her attention. No that couldn't be, that didn't make any sense. "You... Why do you smell..." she let the words drift off as she slowly released him enough to stand and look at him. One minute he was standing there with Lydia, trying to figure out what they had wanted to get for breakfast and the next he was surrounded by some blue looking bubble and whisked off to who knew where. Why did it only take him? He had been standing right next to Lydia, but it seemed like, so far, that he had been the only one taken. Every bad thought had passed through his head. Abductions were never a good thing. It always resulted in bad, horrible things. So, those were the things that he was thinking about. And when the bubble had basically placed him on a beach all of those horrible thoughts went away. Come to find out a small group of them had been taken and dropped off for a spa day. If getting abducted in Atlantis meant getting things like this…they could abduct him anytime. The whole thing had been nice and all, but he still did wish Lydia had been taken with him, and when the blue bubble whisked them all away again, he ended up right back in the same spot where he had been that morning. The only difference was that Lydia wasn’t standing there. Instead she came rushing in a few minutes later. Before he could even reply to her question, she was putting her arms around him and hugging him tightly. He hugged her back and didn’t let go until she released him from her tight embrace and took a step back. “Good?” he finished, hoping that’s what she was going to say. “Sooo, that bubble thing…it kind of dropped me off at some kind of spa retreat type thing.” Leaning closer to him she clearly was sniffing him as if his now spa-like smell would solve all the questions in her head. As he spoke she dropped her arms from him and crossed them studying his words, studying his expression. Everything about what he said did not make sense. “I’m sorry, did you just say you got bubble-napped to a spa retreat?” She asked her expression a mix of uncertainty, anger and confusion. “Because that doesn’t even make sense!” Okay, this was just weird and he kept giving Lydia a strange look every single time she leaned in and sniffed. Oh god. Stiles knew that look and he knew that tone of voice too. It wasn’t like this was any of his fault. He just went along with what he was presented with. “Yeah, that’s exactly what I’m saying,” he replied with a slight nod of his head. “I wasn’t the only one there. There were others. A few of them I’ve spoken to before over the network.” So, it wasn’t like he had been singled out. It was a nice handful of them that had been abducted to the spa. “You do remember where we are, right? Nothing has really made too much sense since we got here.” “I know you weren’t the only one! Do you have any idea how worried we were here? How afraid I was?” Lydia snapped at him. “Is that peppermint?” She added as she sniffed him again before letting out a big sigh as she felt too many conflicting emotions run through her mind. “I know exactly where we are Stiles!” She said narrowing her eyes. “I didn’t just suddenly forget that we aren’t in Beacon Hills, it’s not like anything here even looks like home. I’m pretty sure I also remember telling you not to completely vanish on me again, we had that conversation, didn’t we? I’m not just imagining it?” “I didn’t know.” How could he? He had no idea what went on while the rest of them were away. “I can only imagine…” If it had been Lydia, Stiles knew exactly how he would have felt, which was pretty much the way Lydia had felt when he disappeared. “Yeah, it is,” he replied all too happily. Stiles wondered if he should just be quiet. It seemed like whatever he said angered Lydia even more. He really did hate seeing her this way. “You’re right. We did have that conversation,” he said as he placed his hands on her shoulders, looking right at her. “You know I would never leave you, Lydia. Not intentionally.” If he had his way, he would have made sure that Lydia had been brought to the beach too or he wouldn’t have gone. But, it had been completely out of his hands. When he sounded too happy about the smell she’d detected, she reached up and pushed his left shoulder lightly. She wanted to yell at him, but that didn’t come out either. She just stood there listening to him tell her that yes, they did have that conversation, he remembered it too. Looking down to their shoes she could see bits of sand on his shoes from wherever the spa had been. “I already nearly lost you once,” she finally said looking up at him. “I can’t do that again.” She finished with a whisper. Stiles just smiled when Lydia pushed at his shoulders. It could have been worse. She could have socked him or kept on snapping at him, but all he got was a tiny push. “As long as I can help it, you are forever stuck with me.” He pulled her close and wrapped his arms around her. As long as no other supernatural forces out there tired to take him away, he really did mean what he said. She was stuck with him forever. “I’m sorry that you had to worry all day. If I could have told you what was going on, I would have.” He’d said something, but she didn’t hear it. It wasn’t that she was trying not to listen it was that he pulled her close and her arms went around him as she let her face hide into his shoulder. She didn't let go or say anything as she nodded slowly, she didn't want to speak yet. Standing right there was a lot easy then trying to figure out all the things that were running around in her head. Eventually she tilted her head to look up at him. "You should go to the spa more often, you smell amazing." She teased. He honestly didn’t mind that nothing else was being said. Stiles could literally stand there all night, holding onto Lydia as if nothing else in the world mattered. He smiled down at her when she started to tease him. “If you keep sniffing me, you’re going to end up getting high or something.” If she could tease him, he could tease her right back. “Do you have any idea how much of…” she sniffed again. “That smell would actually take to get someone high would be?” She asked trying to suppress a smile. “Although, who actually knows what that spa did stuff actually was…” She let the thought drift off as she let her head fall back against him. “Um, a lot would be my guess.” Although, her question did get him a little curious. How much would it actually take for someone to get high off of spa products? “No idea. I didn’t ask.” He was far too busy enjoying the experience, so he kind of didn’t care what they were putting on him. “Feeling better now?” It seemed like she was calming down, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t still thinking of a hundred different things at that moment. Despite trying to stay a little angry with him, she couldn't help the small smile as he told her that he didn't ask she rolled her eyes even though he couldn't see it. Pulling back from him she looked up with a small sigh. "Come on I'm sure you're starving unless this was a spa with actual food. Usually they just have cucumber water and finger sandwiches.” It was like Lydia had read his mind. He was starving, but he didn’t want to say anything. He wanted to wait until Lydia was clam and more like herself again. “I am starving, actually,” he told her as he finally let her go. “Still do. You have to eat like six of those things just to feel semi-full. So, I am ready for something that isn’t mini.” there was no hiding the roll of her eyes this time as he told her he didn't want anything that was mini. "Let me guess, pizza?" She asked as a small smirk started to sneak past her attempts at still being mildly annoyed with him. "Or Chinese?" The eye rolling was a typical Lydia thing to do, so he just smiled even more after she had done it. And the thought of getting pizza sounded oh so good, but then she mentioned Chinese too. “Both sound good right about now. But I think I’m going to pick Chinese.” Pizza could wait for another day since he just had it a few days ago. Letting out a small groan she laughed and grabbed his hand and dragged him towards the Chinese place. |
