So far, there was a lot about this world that she was already planning to implement within Hyrule. The more advanced technology would not be something she could replicate, the tools for it did not exist within Hyrule, but there was a lot that ingenuity and a bit of magic could be used to make Hyrule, and the lives of it's citizens, better.
Indoor plumbing and water that was hot with a twist of a knob was something she planned to introduce, if only for convenience sake. The Goron would certainly be able to come up with something similar, and their ties to rock and fire would help with the heat of water. The water itself was trickier, but while she would never touch the Zora's sacred water the Zora would know where a sustainable source of water for Hyrule's use could be. Already she was proposing the drafts to the ministers, and she was certain that once they saw the benefits, they would agree. She could pull rank of course, but she ruled not through force, but wisdom. She was fairly sure Naryu would outright abandon her if she'd ever consider pulling rank in such a manner. Such thoughts always brought up ideas and theories she was only half certain about, and wanted to speak to Link about. He was wiser then he thought, and she enjoyed his friendship and open honesty. That thought made her sip her coffee again, and she wondered if she could find a way to bring some of these beans home, or find a way to create them because she loved this drink. The fact that it helped her stay awake when needed was an even bigger advantage. She'd come to love the drink so much, the shop knew her by name, and knew her favorites. It wasn't a bad thing to have happen. The jingle of the door made her look up. As diplomat she tried making it her business to know at least everyone's face, so she was aware this one was new. And looked a bit ill. Instinct to aid and the desire to get to know someone new made her rise and make her way over to the gentlemen. She smiled and had to make the effort not to curtsy. It was habit, and one that wasn't needed here and now, and a habit that died slowly. "Well met and good morning Sir. I apologize for prying but may I assume you are new?" Smiling she offered her hand, it was a habit that she was learning in this new world, "I am Zelda of Hyrule and Diplomat in this world." |
