Alex was feeling a little weird today, like there was something wrong with her but she couldn’t pinpoint exactly what. She had shrugged that feeling off as something maybe having to do with boredom at work or stress or something definitely not important. During a small break, she decided to check on her boyfriend? Could she call him that? They’ve flirted a lot, been to three dates already and even kissed, so there was definitely something there. Still, they haven’t labeled what they had going on yet. Oh well, that wasn’t important right now. She was going to see Brent. She caught him leaving his office and rushed to him, giving him a surprise peck on the cheek. “Hi, Brent,” she said with a smile. The surprise was not at all unwelcome and Brent grinned at Alex. “Hey, you,” he said, obviously pleased to see her. They didn’t have plans that he remembered, getting to spend some time with Alex was never a bad thing and he did have a little free time. She hadn’t really come with a plan on what to do now that she had seen him, but just spending some time with him was good. “I was wondering if you wanted to grab some of that super not delicious coffee they serve here?” she asked, smiling at him. Brent’s grin grew a little larger. The coffee might not be the best Atlantis had to offer, but the company couldn’t be much better. “I would love to,” he agreed easily, slipping an arm around her shoulders as he guided them down the hallway. God, he had such a beautiful smile... Focus, Belikova! Can’t start daydreaming when he’s actually right there talking to you. “Great,” she leaned into him and wrapped her arm around his waist as she let him lead her. |
