That's the hardest part about being here - missing home and the people there. Even after being here for so long, it still feels hard sometimes. The moments don't come around as often, but sometimes they're a little more intense. I don't really have a set fix that I do in those moments; sometimes it depends on how it affects my mood or what else is going on. I've written journal entries to myself or letters to my friends and family at home even though they'll never read them. Sometimes I'll take a swim, or other times a fun night out as a distraction is a good way to combat the homesickness.
