Who: Eddie Castile and Jill Mastrano-Dragomir
When: November 19th. After his visit with Rose
Where: Jill’s room
What: Catching up in more ways than one
Status: Complete and way backdated
After Eddie had the opportunity to catch up with Rose, he was looking forward to catching up with Jill. Maybe it was because of the playful banter that the two of them had over the network, much to Adrian’s chagrin, but he had already made his mind up that these visits would have to be a nightly thing. The fact that the two of them were only one room next to each other helped a lot. So, he stepped outside of his room, to the room right next to him and he paused a second for knocking on the door. “Anyone in there?” he asked the people in the room with a bit of a playful banter. He just had to hope that Jill would be the one to answer the door. Otherwise, it’d be rather awkward. It had only been a little while since they’d been in Breck together, but that didn’t make Jill any less happy to see Eddie. A part of her had worried they wouldn’t be from the same point again. When Eddie had first come to Breck, he’d been pretty far behind her. He hadn’t remembered them getting together and it had been a little awkward before his memories had come back to him. While it hadn’t been bad, because he’d still been there, she had still been relieved to find that whether he remembered Breck or not, this was still an Eddie who remembered he loved her. She ran for the door when she heard him knock, flinging it open and and throwing herself into his arms. Maybe it hadn’t been that long, less than two weeks, but she’d still really missed him and was really happy he was here now. Eddie wasn’t expecting her to hug him right away, but he really wasn’t going to object to it. It was something he missed and yearned for. Since back home, they were maintaining a bit of a long-distance relationship with him being in Maine and her being at Court. “Well I can definitely say that I’ve missed seeing your pretty face,” he admitted to her. And right now there were no other words to explain how he felt. Maybe she should have held back and waited to see what exactly he remembered, but seeing him, she’d just gotten so excited. Whether it was days, weeks or months between their visits, she always missed him. They’d been doing a long distance relationship for over a year now, almost closer to two, but you never really got used to being away from the person you loved. “It hasn’t even been two weeks for me, yet, but I still missed you,” she admitted. Even when she pulled back a little, she kept her arms around him. He was tall for a dhampir and even though she was tall, too, she had to look up a little to meet his eyes. “What was happening for you at home?” she asked him, wanting to get that part out of the way. “I know that probably sounds like a weird question, but I swear it’s not.” To Eddie, it had been two weeks too long, but that didn’t even matter. How could he? Besides, he was happy now and hopefully there wouldn’t be anything that would pull them apart. “Well, for me, I’ve been in Maine with Sydney and Adrian,” he told Jill, “and Rose and Dimitri had just gotten engaged back home.” The whole Rose being pregnant thing still took some getting used to. “At Christmas?” she asked. That’s when they’d found out about the engagement. Jill didn’t see Rose that often at Court, with her finishing up school and Rose being busy with her own stuff and Christmas was when they’d all learned about the engagement. Adrian had noticed the ring and made her show it off. That had happened shortly before she found herself in Breck. “We’re from the same time, then,” she said, smiling a little and happy to hear that. “It’s been a while for me since I was home, though. Did Rose tell you about Breck?” “Around Christmastime, yes,” he told her, glad that the pair of them were from the same time. It was such a relief. Just like he worried about things if Mason ever showed up. “But that’s a good thing. Even if I still get curious how our own future would’ve ended up back home,” he added, since he could always wonder. “Though I guess I’m not surprised that you haven’t been home for awhile. And Rose did tell me about Breck, since I did have to ask how she got pregnant, since she clearly was not back home.” “That’s good.” She was glad they were on the same page, even if she’d had the months in Breck in between. She smiled and reached over to hug him again. “I’m really glad you’re here,” Eddie,” she told him. She’d worried when he didn’t show up right away that she would end up here without him. She couldn’t have been okay on her own, especially when she had others here, but she was glad she didn’t have to do this without him. Wrapping her arms around him a little more, she leaned up and kissed him. She knew he probably had questions that needed to be answered, but for now she thought maybe they could wait while she welcomed him properly to Atlantis. “I’m glad to be here as well,” he told Jill simply as he kissed her and only breaking the kiss for the moment. “I think we’ll have to stay here all night.” That was only followed by another kiss; sure, he was stating the obvious but this was a welcome to Atlantis that he would never forget. |
