I get that. I had a lot of questions after Riley's death, too, about our purpose and what good we were even doing. It's natural to question your duty and your responsibility after something like that happens. I think more people should question whether or not we're doing the right thing, instead of just taking it at face value.
That's a good point, about if I did right by him while he was alive. I think sometimes we get caught up in the past, in regrets and lost chances, that we don't live -- and I think the best way to honor him now is to take full advantage of the time I have. The time he didn't get. Not to waste another second, and to make sure I'm fully present for the people I care about now. None of us can change the past, but we can learn from it.
