Tallie Lintra + Poe Dameron

Tallie rushed to the hangar and got into her RZ-2 A-Wing in no time as soon as she heard the alarm going through the ship. She didn’t know how but the First Order had managed to track them through hyperspace, which seemed impossible to do. Until now.
She wasted no time starting her ship, nodding to her best friend Starck. They might have found them, but the Resistance was not going to go down without a fight. They had taken down a dreadnought, they could take whatever the First Order sent their way.
She was about to take off when she noticed a shiny thing on the floor of her cockpit. She almost ignored it, but decided to pick it up just as Kylo Ren shot two missiles into the hangar. The moment she saw those blue balls coming towards them she knew there was nothing she could do. She gripped the small golden coin in her hand and she waited for the worst to happen.
She woke up gasping for air. She placed her hand on her chest and tried to calm herself down. Had it all just been a nightmare? It had felt way too real to be a nightmare. She swallowed and closed her eyes for a moment. “Relax, Tallie,” she told herself. When she opened her eyes again, she realized she wasn’t in her room anymore. But before she could notice anything else, an hologram started talking, startling her a little.
“This is surreal even to me,” she murmured after the hologram stopped. She picked up the tablet and played with it for a while before a message popped up. It was from Poe. Poe was there? Oh, thank the stars. At least there was someone from her world who could tell her exactly what was going on here. She had gotten the main idea from the hologram, but she had a feeling there was much more going on.
She jumped off the bed and headed outside to meet Poe.
When Poe had gotten the alert on his phone, there was a brief moment as he unlocked his device where fear took over him. There was been so many departures lately he was afraid Atlantis would take away Erin or Rey from him. Fortunately, he didn’t see their names on the departures, people had left though. But his eyes focused on the arrivals, and his eyes widened. “Tallie,” he said aloud, getting the attention of BB-8, who beeped curiously and moved closer to Poe. “Tallie’s here, buddy!” he exclaimed.
He wasted no time and sent her a message, knowing the fellow pilot would have lots of questions. Tallie was a good friend and an excellent pilot, and Poe grieved for her and the other pilots when the First Order attacked them. So needless to say he was very happy to see her in Atlantis.
“Come on, buddy. Let’s go meet Tallie,” he said to the droid as he got up, taking his jacket and walking out of the house and into the storm, BB-8 following closely behind.
It wasn’t a long walk from his place to hers, and Poe found her outside in the porch, watching the storm.
Tallie was lost in her own thoughts when Poe and BB-8 arrived. She knew she would’ve died if it weren’t for the coin she grabbed at the last second, but she couldn’t understand how that had made her show up in this place. She had so many questions for Poe.
“Poe!” she grinned and moved to hug him, not caring he was soaking wet because of the storm.
“It’s so good to see you, Tallie. Really,” Poe hugged her back, BB-8 beeping happily around them.
“Come on, let’s go inside. You’re both wet and BB-8 might fry his circuits with so much water.” Tallie opened the door and walked into the warmth of her new home.
Poe followed her in and took off his jacket, setting it on a chair for it to dry -- and couldn’t help but think for a moment about Erin and her magic, wondering if she had a spell to dry both him and BB-8 off. “I’m guess you must have a million questions, Tallie,” he said.
“A million doesn’t even began to count it,” she chuckled. “What happened in the Raddus, Poe? The last thing I remember was two missiles heading into the hangar. Did I... everyone die? Is this some kind of after life?” Part of her already knew the answer but she needed to hear it from him.
Poe ran a hand through his hair and sat down on the couch. “You better sit down, Tallie. It’s a long story.”
