Normally she did have someone with her but at the moment she was on a coffee run to Coffee Me better from the base, she apperated there to stay safe, she just knew everyone could use a little bit of the good coffee. Over the last few weeks she’d been getting stronger, she wasn’t exactly as on edge as she had been. Despite herself she found herself enjoying her housemates again, Logan was on the mission but it was a lot easier with Erik around. She wouldn’t admit it but she was glad it wasn’t just her and Laura alone.
Catching a flash of something Alicia told the barista that she’d be right back for her order. Pulling her coat around her tight she stepped out into the snow starting at a jog she rounded the corner passing Atlantis Liquors before heading towards where Footsteps was. Whatever she saw, or thought she saw was gone, frowning she yawned unaware of it she curled up into the alley by Dive falling asleep.
Sara was a full time agent now, but she still took the odd shift at Dive. It kept her busy, but she just couldn’t quite quit the place that had been a constant in her Atlantis life. She’d been there trying to help out more with Abe gone when she saw the message from Sharon Carter calling her team in for extra patrols. After making sure the bar was in good hands for the day, she slipped out the back and that’s when she saw familiar figure curled up for her nap, right there in the alley.
“Alicia,” she called, gently nudging her shoulder to try and wake her.
"It doesn't count as a-" someone was saying to her when she felt a small nudge that didn't fit with the sunny beach, a cold feeling started to crawl up her legs and arms.
Alicia jumped scrambling back from the hand and onto her feet blinking before her eyes adjusted and she looked at Sara.
"What?" She stammered. "Ho-"
“This is a hell of a bad place to take a nap, Als,” Sara teased, even though she knew with Atlantis being Atlantis that the witch likely couldn’t help it or hadn’t chosen the spot at all. Her expression sobered a little. “You okay?”
Blinking she looked around before rubbing her eyes. “I don’t even know how I fell asleep here,” she hadn’t seen the news yet about people napping as she stretched a little bit. “Please tell me I’m not the only one falling asleep in horrid places.”
“You’re not,” Sara reassured her. “Someone else curled up on the Pizza Planet sign. Atlantis shenanigans, you know how it goes.” They’d both been here long enough to be well aware of how much weird shit went around and to know you didn’t always have control over it.
Rubbing her eyes she looked at the coffee she’d gotten earlier. “I think I should head home, wouldn’t want to fall asleep out here again.” She frowned. “So much for being useful today.”
“You want me to walk with you?” Sara asked. She’d have offered for anyone, but Alicia being a part of Ollie’s team made her family as far as she was concerned. Alicia could obviously normally take care of herself, but she also wasn’t normally taking random naps in inconvenient places. With everything else going on right now, you couldn’t really be too careful.
Usually, Alicia would say no, but she wasn’t sure she should walk alone given the idea of falling asleep. “Yeah, probably better than falling asleep again and risk not being found.”
Sara nodded. “I thought so, too,” she said as reached out a hand to help Alicia up. “Maybe even get you a new coffee on the way.” Although knowing Atlantis, the caffeine wouldn’t help.
