You were right. So I've been in my head a lot lately. The sleeping curse thingy brought back feelings and memories I was trying really hard to keep at bay since (and I blame you) I eased up on chemically beating them into submission. I had been thinking of stepping back. Maybe leaving. But- if I don't fight at all then I'll surely lose, right? That's what forfeiting is. I don't know if that's better or worse than failing miserably and watching everyone you kind of enjoy die all around you but I don't think I want to find out.
So let's not. I don't presume to believe what I and Marceline saw in our sleep is a prophecy but it could happen, the COS could come in with an arsenal we can't imagine and blow this paradise to bits. We're a lot of us fighters but we've no army, not really. What we do is covert special operations. And the people, the regular folk, it's better to assume they can't fight.
I don't like mandatory anything (much as it might surprise you from my recent past as aiding in mandatory gladiatorial fighting) but I think we should help them learn to defend themselves, their homes, to organize if things really go down the highest hill and the COS does try to blow us up on our own turf. One thing I have realized is that for all its magic, Atlantis isn't infallible. I hog tied one COS fucker to bring him back from that mission and he disappeared as we landed, who's to say they can't do the inverse?
You may ask why I'm coming to you with this and honestly I don't know, I could be going to top command or whatever but I guess I trust you more, or something feelsy like that. Think about it, majesty. Think about helping me really help these folk help themselves. We have experience to know what not to do, at least.
