[so sorry for the delay on this!! The trip I went on and getting ready for it totally ate me up last month. <3]
"Definitely not the only place," Fred shook her head. "I don't have any personal experience, obviously, but from the stories I heard, LA's scary and apocalyptic moments were different than Sunnydale." More evil lawyers and ghosts of the past instead of beasts being attracted to the power of the Hellmouth.
The laugh made Fred smile a bit. She probably would have felt the same way if she'd been dealing with this sort of thing ever since she was a teenager. Fred was pulled into this life - literally - a while later and even then she didn't understand it all until she came back from Pylea.
"Angel kind of does always have this little bit of creepy factor about him, I guess," she remarked and scrunched up her nose. "I mean, he's still one of my best friends, and I love him, but still a big weirdo. Though, the whole seeing him as a really old vampire didn't last for long. Not until he dated himself by talking about the clubs he used to visit in the 20s or how he ran with the Rat Pack in Vegas." She shook her head and took another sip of her drink. Talking about him made her miss him even more.
Raising her brow at Buffy's more pointed question, she shrugged. "I mean... I only know what I was told and what Angel didn't say." Because it didn't take an idiot to figure out how Angel felt about Buffy even when he never talked about her at all, not to her at least. That was more up Wesley or Cordelia's alley.
"You guys... I wouldn't call it creepy, because it wasn't. But I know he cared about you, and you him. A lot."
