Sorry for the delay in responding. When I saw a giant wall of letters, I knew I'd need to find a place to sit and focus.
First off, I haven't told anyone anything and that's mainly because we haven't really talked about it and I'm not going to brag until I have a firmer grasp of the situation. So either they've put some kind of listening devices in my room or they saw you go to my place and not leave for awhile, then made up their own ideas.
I agree to 'play nice' for he sake because I don't think she's doing well. I still question her judgement in that she believes Solas is the key to this, because he never did a damn thing with it in Thedas. There's people here who can literally resurrect the dead, so I have to believe there's a way to fix this that doesn't require the elf who started it in the first place. Especially since, as you said, if we don't play nice, he'll tuck his tail and run away and not help. What kind of sad state of affairs is that? She's determined to turn him from his self-delusion and I just don't see what it gains. It shouldn't be on us to convince him that he's an idiot. I don't like feeling like a god's nursemaid.
But yeah, I understand that she's torn. I can't say I've been rational for things I care about either. So I'm willing to help, but I will complain every step of the way and if he ruins this for her, I'll fill every orifice of that elf with a bolt.
Cards and drinks sounds great. We'll not talk about the anchor and focus on having a good time.
