A sliver of white light cut through the darkness of the room as the door slid open, scaling up the far, distant wall of the large, almost hollow room. A few tiny dots of light, red and green, dotted corners and other distant walls, standing out against the inky blackness. The light itself, was disrupted by a silhouette forming in the center of it, a figure filling its space before stepping through the door, banks of lights beginning to hum to life along the walls and ceilings of the training room, revealing a brilliant white, crisp and clean in its color. The high-tech Atlantis once again outdoing itself. Peter cleared his throat as he continued through the door, the slab sliding shut behind him. Letting out a breath, he looked around the bright room, feeling both incredibly alone, and then finally apart of something. Feeling not so out of place here. It was one of the training rooms, and now that he was on a proper team, he felt like it was high time he began to take the fact he was both an Avenger and a field agent seriously. Peter slid a thumb over one of his wrist shooters, before double tapping a specific place, then watched as his costume began to spread out from both shooters, enveloping him quickly, expanding around him, and finally his mask sealing across his face, eyes lighting up a moment later. The teen looked at his hands and arms, looking himself and the suit over as his hud came up and began to take in inventory of his surroundings. "Good evening, Karen," Peter offered, beating the AI to the punch. "Good evening, Peter," Replied Karen directly into his ears, "You're on level B14 of the Atlantis base of operations, training rooms. Are we planning on training today, Peter?" Peter nodded, and kept walking further inside and looked around, "Yea. Not sure how this place works..." "The Atlantis mainframe is quite advanced, Peter. It's already managed to connect and integrate into my systems, allowing me to see a wide array of training exercises and simulations. Is there anything you'd like to focus on?" Peter watched as menus began to pop in front of him, and shook his head, "Holy cow! Karen that's way too much, I can't read all that--I don't know. Yea. Uh... you pick something." "Okay Peter," The system began to show stats, "Your internal computer has calculated the amount of times you've fought and your combat techniques, and it's apparent you need assistance in decision making, hand to hand, dodging, and utilizing your suits arrays of powers. I recommend we start with the basics." Peter scoffed, "BASICS?! I've fought the Vulture, Captain America, and Thanos! I think we can go a bit more advanced than that." "Of course, advanced it is, Peter. Would you like to begin?" Peter nodded and cracked his neck to the side, "Yea. Let's do this." Almost immediately holograms formed and weapons, enemies, and obstacles began to form. Peter blinked as it was rather quick, and his spider sense went off, suddenly getting slammed the right side by a powerful blast, that sent him flying across the room. Sliding and rolling across the ground, before pushing to his feet and shaking his head, "Holy sh--" Interrupted by a barrage of gun fire that Peter suddenly had to dodge, bounding behind obstacles and off of walls, "Dodge, dodge, dodge!!" Shouting to himself, before suddenly a cutting laser slammed into the ground in front of him, causing an explosion of something beneath and sending him tumbling backwards. "You seem to be rather unfamiliar with the processes of fighting, Mr. Parker. Would you like me to tone down the level?" Peter almost confirmed, but then shook his head, "No... no. Keep it up. And give me some music." A beat began to play deep in his head and Peter let out a breath, pushing to his feet, checking his webshooters and HUD once more. Utilize the suit and his powers. Right, he could do this. |
