Well, there went having her brother back in her life.
Rose looked down at the alert and blinked a few times. Shutting her eyes she took a deep breath in and expelled it as slowly as possible to calm herself down. There was a moment of hating herself for knowing she let him back into her life, back into her thoughts, a part of her told her she should have known better.
Opening her eyes again she looked around her room, she'd just gotten home to change after experiencing the county fair hologram with Roman. Even though it was just a hologram she still felt like she needed to change after it, not to mention there was a blizzard outside. Sighing she pushed off of her bed and changed out of the clothing she'd just put on and into a pair of warm running leggings, a long sleeved running shirt and a lightweight jacket on top. Slipping on warm socks and running shoes she pulled her hair back as she grumbled something to anyone in the main area of the house that she was going for a run, and with that she grabbed her headband and ran out the door.
As her feet pounded the pavement she thought about to the all the little things along the way, childhood memories to the first day she saw him here in Atlantis, to rebuilding trust and becoming family again. Now he was gone. Anger swelled in her as she reached Atlantis Beach after a good solid while. The snow was falling hard as she stopped dead in her tracks and looked blankly over the water.
"Suck it up Freeman," she whispered knowing she couldn't reach out to Ross, he was gone, and she didn't want to bother Roman, it was his birthday and everyone who knew her brother was dealing with their own pain. She'd suck it up and move on. It's what Rose did best.
