He had every right to be mad about that, of course. What I didn't like was a) his "you're so innocent" spiel as if he knew her better than she knew herself and b) besmirching Peter's character without really knowing him. That wasn't coming from a place of confusion or hurt about how unfair her behavior was, as it had nothing to do with it; so what's left is his own bias.
