From the moment she went in for the hug Bonnie realised that something was amiss. Elena showed no sense of enthusiasm, either to see her or to share her news, which had her questioning what was going on even as she was backing back up to look more closely at the face she knew so well. "Not Elena?" The thought that she might once more be looking into the eyes of Katherine Pierce crossed her mind momentarily but before she had the chance to ask more the woman gave Bonnie her name and it wasn't one she was remotely familiar with. Weirder still Rose knew who she was.
"Okay, I'm not going to pretend I know what's going on here," Bonnie said with a confused shake of her head, "you're the spitting image of my best friend. Are you a doppelgänger I haven't met yet?" or was Atlantis playing new and unusual tricks on them both. "And how do you know who I am?" That was one question she really wanted the answer to, because it meant someone had told Rose about her. Depending who that someone was really formed how the rest of this meeting was going to go. If it was Katherine or on of The Original Vampires the woman could have a whole raft of reasons to want to kick her ass about now. Though, in fairness, Rose looked far more sympathetic than anything else. "I'm sorry I pounced on you," Bonnie felt it only fair to apologise, seeing as she'd accosted a pregnant stranger. "You really do look like Elena," she said in bemusement.
