Most everybody on the floor was already in bed, but the Doctor knew Gwen suffered from insomnia, and would be awake. Gallifreyians, like the Doctor, could get by with only one hour of sleep, so he was usually awake, doing one thing or another. Since they'd arrived in Atlantis, she'd often come to his room, or he would go to hers, and they'd hang out, chat, tinker with whatever project the Doctor was working on, and wait till dawn. The Doctor appreciated her company.
