This truth shit was going to get her into so much trouble today. She could see it now. She should just get her shit together, grab a hat and her swimsuit, and hit the beach again. There weren't enough people at the beach on a foggy day to run into people who would balk at her "truths". She couldn't piss off people. She couldn't create unneeded chaos. Sure, Erica liked to get into trouble sometimes, but it was always under her own circumstances and choices. Getting in trouble for someone else's bullshit, or worse, under the thrall of this place, only served to irritate the hell out of the werewolf. She'd told Peter if he wanted to actually hang out, this was where she'd be. That decision, whether to be around her in this state or not, was up to him. He'd have to be pretty brave to do it. She didn't know too many people who would be. Then again, the people she did know who might be had never been her biggest fans, other than Isaac and Boyd. Maybe Derek, too. But none of them were here and days like this made her miss her pack something terrible. It was a feeling she never thought she'd actually feel after being lonely for so long as it was. She'd told Raksha if she wanted join her, she was more than welcome as well. Which one, if either, decided to, she supposed she'd just have to wait and see. If both of them managed it, she couldn't say she wouldn't be surprised. But even if neither of them showed up, she'd still have the beach and the waves to ease her troubles. It was strange, really. For someone who lived in California, there really wasn't a whole lot of water around her town of Beacon Hills. There was some, sure, but nothing like this unless one traveled to the beaches that were always crowded. Here, the water had taken an unexpected turn for her. Something that had once been dangerous was now soothing. And Erica loved being around it. |
