The mission had been successful, though not without consequences. It was no surprise to anyone that Clarke Griffin wasn't Raven's most favorite person in the world. She knew she'd be more upset if something happened to Octavia than if it had to Clarke. However, Raven would be a fool if she didn't admit that Clarke was a strong fighter. For someone like Clarke to come back so gravely injured...it had shocked her, to say the least. And that's when her roommate went babbling about the holidays, and Raven had jumped at the chance for a distraction. They got on well, the two of them. Maybe it was because Raven wasn't your typical girl. She was sure and confident in herself, as well as her sexuality. As a mechanic, she'd always been around boys and living with one here didn't even phase her. It helped that he was confident, too, for the most part. Sure, they both had some dark pasts. He'd shared more about his than she had about hers, but he knew a lot of things about her. He didn't know that her only other real boyfriend had gotten himself exiled to Earth to save her life. He didn't know that said boyfriend also went a bit crazy on Earth, attacked some of the locals, and had to be sacrificed to keep the peace between the 100 and the tree people. He didn't know any of these things. Raven wasn't so sure she was ready to tell him, not yet. He'd taken the news about her being possessed by A.L.I.E without much issue, though. It was a bit of a relief. And thanks to her time with A.L.I.E., Raven had picked up a few new tricks when it came to technology and hacking. She felt it was only fair that her friend learned those techniques too, especially if he wanted to serve revenge to his own AI in his time. Maybe they wouldn't take what they learned here back with them, who knew? What she did know was that she had to try. It hadn't taken her long to acquire a computer here. It wasn't the same as the technology back home, but she'd teach him what she could. Sitting in the swivel chair at her desk, Raven was tinkering with one of her projects--just a simple gadget, but something that would help improve communication here in case it went down again--as she waited for him to be ready. |
