Oliver Queen ✦ Cat Chandler
Challenge Thread G Complete |
Leave it to Atlantis to have a freaking kissing booth show up in front of the base. That was how Cat found herself standing next to Oliver Queen watching the insanity in front of them. Some were more interesting to watch than others. The whole thing made Cat really happy that she’d found the one and knew that her life was with Dyson and she didn’t need to worry about things like kissing booths or dating or any of that shit. As a rather awkward kiss passed in front of her Cat scrunched up her nose. “Why are we doing this again?” Oliver laughed. “I have no idea. I’m glad to be on this side of it though instead of actually in the thing which is where I was last year.” He still had no idea how he’d gotten drafted into being a part of it but at least something good had come out of it. “It’s how I met my girlfriend so I really can’t complain.” It took them awhile to finally realize their feelings for each other but they had and Oliver was happy. “Some of these people are going to be really embarrassed when they find out who they’ve been kissing. I know I couldn’t remember everyone. I remember Clarke of course and Cisco played a joke on me and offered to kiss me but there’s a lot I don’t remember. It’s probably better that way.” “If you met your girlfriend that way, you really can’t complain.” Cat raised an eyebrow with a smirk. “There are probably worse ways to meet people.” She could think of a few. “Probably,” she agreed. “I just hope it doesn’t last more than a day, seems like it could add a little bit of… danger.” She said with a small shrug. “Jealousy among some people…” Letting the word trail off as she watched some run away blushing. Oliver nodded. “Yeah, I got lucky. I’m also not very jealous but for a long time at home, I was not someone that any father would want their daughter to date,” he laughed. “I had a bit of a reputation, I guess you’d say. Thankfully I’m over all that now.” Cat nodded. “Pretty sure both my fiance and my ex were guys my father would rather I didn’t date.” She smirked. “Good thing it’s not always up to dads.” She added with a shrug. “Didn’t Clarke’s mom just show up?” She usually remembered all the names of people in Atlantis. “Yes, she did. I haven’t gotten to really spend any time with her yet so I’m not sure where I rank on the ‘why are you dating my daughter’ thing,” he laughed. “But I really care about Clarke so I hope that’s enough to make her happy. “ Oliver loved Clarke and he would never intentionally hurt her although he knew he had the tendency to be broody but she seemed to understand and he was happy about that. "It sounds like they're from a pretty crappy world, so I think you'll be fine." Cat offered. "Not that you wouldn't be if they were from a perfect world, just that sometimes the danger of things can help people open their minds up a little bit more." Cat smiled. “Clarke’s been through a lot. They all have,” Oliver said. “And I’m sure there are a lot of things that I still don’t know but I try to listen and be there for her and hopefully that’s enough.” There had been a time when Oliver wouldn’t have been able to do that but thankfully he had grown up. Cat nodded, she knew having people listen helped. “I’m sure it’s enough.” She offered with a smile. “Come on, let’s make sure no one over there gets in any trouble.” Pointing towards a couple of people who were standing around awkwardly. |
