Chuckling again, Claire had anticipated that answer from her friend. She poured the Merlot like a professional. "Of course," she answered. She had always loved fine wine. "Only the best for us. It's a Bourduex merlot from 1984. Very old. Very expensive." She grinned with pride. So she may have conned one of her older suitors into spending his money on it, but she didn't care. It was for her and Megan and she demanded only the best.
Once they were done with their salads, Claire took a sip of the wine before taking the lid off the main course, a grilled ceder salmon with a nice seasoning and marinade.
