Despite the lack of character development and emotional challenge, I really liked this episode. They was a lot of involvement with the characters I liked. The transition of Will as head of the Sanctuary was hard to believe, but his taking on Helen's duties was done well enough that I could overlook the absurd.
Only two faults with this episode:
The set up of the plot was handled poorly. It was rushed and there was less character impact. Given a slower build over the season it would have made one hell of a plotline that this show is known for. It's taking the flash! Bang! route and that's what's sunk almost every sci-fi series in history.
The fucking FBI bitch. I hate quirky characters, especially ones brought in only to further the plot. Add to it she's a blonde, in the same field as Will, has a history with character, is visually magnetic, and is the only one to notice the connection for the B-plot. Can anyone tell me what mold this fits in besides stereotypical 'girlfriend'?
