Giselle was confused for a moment before she looked down at herself and then back up at Brennan. She burst into laughter and shook her head. "Nonononono. This isn't a ball gown! This is just a dress. I wear them all the time." Granted the dress was a bit fancier than was meant for everyday wear, but it was by no means a ball gown. "I would prefer to make my own, but I have not been able to find the necessary items." She shook her head sadly as she glanced down at her fries and took one.
She munched on it steadily for a minute before glancing back up at Brennan. Giselle knew that there were some things she didn't have any business butting into. Robert had taught her that. But the woman in front of her looked so overwhelmingly sad, that she couldn't help saying something about it. "I'm a stranger, and I don't expect you will want to share anything with me, but sometimes it's easiest to share your feelings with someone you don't know. Someone who can take an objective view." Giselle was a bit of an expert on love, and if she wasn't mistaken, Brennan looked like she might be suffering from a broken heart.
"You look very sad." Not even the french fries seemed to be cheering the woman up.
