Giselle had only just discovered the fried treat. They hadn't had such things back in Andalasia and she hadn't had much time to try anything beyond hot dogs and pizza in New York before she'd been brought here. The discovery of french fries and donuts had certainly won her affections, but it was Legolas that made her content to be here. True love could make people do a lot of stupid things.
"I believe that you are 'alright' as you say. But I do not believe that what was bothering you earlier has simply ceased to exist." She wasn't trying to butt into her life or get her to open up, she was just letting her know that she was more transparent to the observant eye than she probably thought.
