"Really? The ins and outs of demonology seem like something you would remember well, given your current state," Francis said, frowning at the other vampire. Mikhael's too-casual facade upset him. It hadn't been that long, not to Francis's mind, since the day he'd seen his newfound family slaughtered over jealousy. He narrowed his eyes and rose from his seat.
"But, if there's nothing you can contribute, then the discussion is over." He looked down at Mikhael, folding his arms across his chest. "Just...be careful, if you find others claiming to be vampires. The last thing I want is to have to clean up more of your messes, or to go chasing after more roses on your account."
