Francis' eyes narrowed at Mikhael's sudden interest. Of course he'd want to know what abilities the other two had. If he didn't know, he wouldn't be able to exploit them. Still, Francis mused, there was little to exploit, if the gentlemen were well and truly gone. "Armand claimed he could pull thoughts from a person's mind." Francis shuddered at the memory. The other vampire hadn't done it to him, but the idea of someone being able to just stir up things from his thoughts, to know about things he'd rather keep secret, special... Lydia's smiling face appeared in his mind's eye. His time with her was definitely not something he wanted to share with others.
"Demons?" Francis scoffed. "Isn't that what we are, Mikhael? Isn't that how Raphael first describe vampires to me? Violent spirits who cared for little but destruction?" He shook his head, his bangs falling in front of his face. "But, you were the scholarly monk, once, so perhaps you know more than I about this particular subject. What did the Brotherhood of the Valley think about the subject of demons?"
