Who: Alice Hamilton and David Hatter What: Reuniting! When: Backdated to Friday night Where: Alice's room Rating: PG-13 to be safe Status: Incomplete
Hatter hadn't believed it when he'd first read that not only was someone looking for him, but that the someone in question was Alice. His Alice. And there she was, getting feisty with that blond bint next door and defending him and being the girl he'd been so crazy about he'd left an entire world for. It was too good. Of course, finding her was going to be a little more difficult, but who cared? She was here. Better still, she was safe.
It was growing dark, but that hadn't ever bothered him before. Especially here, where it was well lit and safe and people seemed mostly friendly. Snippy, maybe, but not dangerous. When you were used to fighting for survival, this seemed almost like paradise. Hatter looked back and forth between the buildings. He knew on the other side there were more, but better to start on the one next to his. And hey, if Alice wasn't in 102A, someone else was bound to be and he'd say hi and move on.
Which sounded brilliant till he was standing in front of the door all but begging it to be her. It reminded him of that day he'd been standing around the hospital, making sure she was alright. Anxious for her but just as worried that she wouldn't want him around at all. When he knocked lightly on the door, he caught himself chewing his lower lip with nerves, something he hadn't done since he was just a kid.
