He was gone again. Gone, just like that.
Leaving him, Rose, Jenny; all of them behind without so much as a glance. So much like him. So much like the Doctor, that impossible damned man. The coldness and denial he'd felt before now washed away with a feeling of deep bitterness; an anger and coldness that hadn't settled in until just recently. In so much denial the damned Doctor would up and take off like he always did. Always did. No different than the past. He shouldn't known. Oh he should've known but he never did, did he. Trusting the man to the ends of the universe, the damned Doctor, him and his brilliance to pull them through and save the day like he was so good at. But no, this wasn't the past this wasn't back then it was now. Now after the children, now after the 456 and hah oh well the years that led into nothing and the Doctor telling them the time lines were all wrong for this. A deep shift of anger swelled at just those thoughts. The thoughts alone of the brilliant man leaving against the night to be sure they wouldn't stop him.
Jack didn't know what was more painful; the fact that he was left behind for the second time or the fact the Doctor didn't seem to have a problem with doing it to the others. Rose. Rose of all people and wasn't that a laugh. The two who were right for each other, who fit better than anyone and he still went and left her here. Unfair. Unfair as the universe, he knew, but it didn't matter. Right now all he could think was how he'd given so much faith and still he'd gone and left either way. How Jack should've known this was going to happen even while he hadn't believed it. Sighing as he scrubbed his face angry with his hands. Eyes darker and lit dimly with that fire of a much more aggressive man; Jack so completely unaware of the time or the very fact it was leading up toward a daily ritual at this hour that had continued a constant these last few weeks...
