"Why do you all assume that I want something?" Silas asked, suddenly annoyed with the witch because Stefan had spat out that Silas must have wanted something. Sure, there was some truth to it but it wasn't really all that Silas wanted. What could a few rejects from Mystic Falls possibly do for Silas? Right now Silas had everything he wanted. He had Amara. A decent job that paid well. And Silas was starting to get the handle on the whole being civil thing. Like right now.
"I just want to talk," Silas said, because that was the main reason why he was even bothering with Bonnie Bennett, ex-witch extraordinaire. "There isn't anything wrong with that, now is there? You're obviously not doing anything right now so I know you're not busy. I know I'm the last person you want to talk to but...well, I'm not going to give you much a choice."
And what did Silas want to talk about? Well, that was easy. Silas would have wanted to talk Bonnie into being his little witch in case he ever needed one but that really didn't have to do with talking since Silas could always command Bonnie to come to him whenever he needed her and she would have no choice but to obey.
"You seem to have a little magic problem," Silas said, looking the witch over, as if she was nothing more than a broken little toy. "Kind of makes you wonder what you're even good for anymore, right? What's Bonnie Bennett without her magic? Seems to me like you've lost it - what? How many times now? You're really not good when it comes to keeping it, are you?"
