Four vamps were nothing. Faith almost felt like it was a waste of time. She could slay these assholes in her sleep. She didn't jump right into battle because of that same cocky confidence but also she wanted these vampires to betray themselves. She had to explain to Buffy that she couldn't just run around slaying vamps all over the place here. Not all vampires were created equal anymore. It was confusing as fuck for a couple of slayers.
But Angelus had been slowly but surely building up his little army of fledglings. They were targeting Faith and she was sure that there were others targeting Buffy. Angelus was nothing without his obsessions and he loved tormenting slayers almost as much as Spike had once loved murdering them. Though, it wasn't about being slayers and Faith knew that. It was about hurting Angel and because Angel loved Buffy and Faith, Angelus wanted to destroy them.
Faith landed on a crate and determined that Buffy was in no immediate danger so she could assess the situation for a minute.
One the vampires took her by surprise by kicking the crate underneath her into pieces. Faith landed neatly on the ground and swung out with a wicked kick that nearly knocked the vampire's head right off. As soon as he was knocked over, she slammed her stake into his chest ever careful to remove it quickly so it didn't turn into dust too.
"These guys are fledglings!" she yelled over to Buffy who was already moving onto the next vampire. "They're his, I know they are."
"Oh, you mean my buddy Angelus?" one of the vampires taunted Faith. "He told me you're not that good at this unlike your friend over here."
Well, shit. Would anyone ever get tired of pushing that particular button? Faith was starting to think not. She growled at the vampire as she rushed at him but she was reckless and he sidestepped her easily, sending her towards the edge of the building. She nearly fell off the side of the roof in what would have been the dumbest accident ever if Buffy hadn't grabbed her hand at the very last second. Faith steadied herself and the two slayers turned to face the last fledgling.
"Now you got me, the fail slayer and her the good slayer. What do you think about your chances now that you're all alone?" Faith asked with a smirk.
The vampire laughed. "You think I'm alone? You are as dumb as he says you are."
