Who: Jason and Cady What: Jason falls off the wagon When: The morning after Karolina's party Where: Cady's apartment Warnings: TBD
As much as Jason could pretend to be indifferent - he really wasn't. He felt it. The pressures of Salem. He told himself continuously that 'at least it wasn't Rosewood,' but Aria was right. He was still trapped. It was unnerving and the only solace he found was Cady. They got on really well and there was something about her that was light despite who her father was - which was a trip. But it was like he craved her presence. It was insane. Usually Jason could walk away so easily, but with Cady - he didn't want to.
The same couldn't be said for Alison. Jason was dropping all kinds of balls when it came to her, but Alison wanted what she wanted and that was Charlotte - not him. And he was there for her in the beginning and honestly, he would always be for the most part, but Alison was doing what she needed to do and Jason was doing what he needed to do. They were both screwed up, they were both addicts. It might not have been drugs or alcohol for her, but she was addicted.
Jason had decided to mingle and he invited Cady up to Emily's party for her girlfriend. He'd been good in Salem, no drinks, no drugs but it was like everything hit him that night. The fact he was up on the roof and he could look up at the big dark sky and know that it only covered Salem. There wasn't a Pennsylvania to go back to, there was no 'his normal life.' This was his life now and suddenly, he felt the walls closing in on him.
But he wanted to give Cady a good time, so he indulged her and he thought to himself, one drink wouldn't hurt. He'd be fine. Then another - he could handle it. Nearly five drinks later and three shots and he was faded to the point where he was belligerent and he didn't even know who he told to fuck off when they told him he was cut off. He didn't even know how he got to Cady's room.
He opened his eyes the next morning and brought his hands to his head, trying to get the constant pounding to stop. He had no idea how he was half naked, he just didn't know. But for now, he was by himself. He could hear Cady in the other room and brought the pillow over his face.
