Karen was sitting on a bench outside the hotel where she’d said she’d meet Frank. She was kind of in shock that he was here, and she was thinking about the last thing she’d said to him, when he killed the Colonel. She hadn’t meant it. Maybe she thought she did then, but she didn’t. She was a mess of emotions at the moment, having just learned that Matt was actually Daredevil before coming here. And Matt was here too. That was super awkward. Karen had a roommate who she didn’t know at all. She wasn’t exactly comfortable with that, but then she wasn’t comfortable with this whole situation. Elijah seemed nice enough, but getting to know him would have to wait. She needed to talk to Frank. To see how he was. It felt like an eternity since she’d last seen him. They both led different lives and had gone their separate ways. But now they were both here. Karen hadn’t even begun to process what all of this was. She remembered taking a feather, but that had been a dream, right? After she’d met with Matt at home and he’d told her his secret, everything else was kind of a blur. Had she blacked out? She didn’t really remember. Frank seemed to be roomed with a teenage girl, so Karen was sure he’d be eager to get away. Maybe they could go and explore the town. She could see how he was doing. Hopefully no one here was a hardcore criminal, or they might end up facing the Punisher. Karen pushed the thought away as a cool breeze blew and moved her hair. It was chilly, but she was used to that from living in New York. At least it was officially Spring. |
