It was like Silas could breathe again. He knew everything inside of his love's mind but none of it mattered. Silas didn't care at the moment. All that he could see right now in his thoughts was Amara. Two thousand years without anyone. Alone and tormented. Silas' mind wasn't as put together as it should have been but now, with Amara in his arms again, it was like all of that faded away.
Silas pulled back some, his hands shaping his love's face, touching her, remembering the way she smelled, the way she felt against him. Silas couldn't help the tears in his eyes that fell. All Silas wanted was to be reunited with her. There wasn't anything in this world that could make Silas want something or someone else.
When he heard Amara speak his gaze left her for a moment, his eyes settling on Elena. In Silas' game he had left her alone for the most part. She resembled Amara as did Katherine. As fake as he thought they both were they came from Amara - they were her doppelgangers. It was that reason alone that he didn't outright slaughter them.
"Then she gets to live," Silas said, although he wondered how long that would last. Silas knew that those who feared him were probably gathering, to formulate a plan that would take Silas out before he had a chance to take them out.
