" ... Yeah. We did," he said and looked over at her. But she didn't understand what it had to do with Oliver and damnit, why? Why him? Why did Roy have to do this? He just ... he wanted her to know, but fuck, looking at her face while he talked and realization would wash over her and ... he knew that just nothing would fix it. Of course, that was his way of thinking in the now. That he was going to screw up - again with her but she needed to know the truth.
"Yeah, I'm good." He nodded. Okay, so maybe he was skirting around the issue a little bit, but she was about to be fucking pissed. He just had that feeling. But Roy knew that anything could happen and most of the time, it did.
"Oliver offered to help me because it's him. He's the vigilante, Thea. He's Arrow."
Roy watched her face, not knowing what to expect. Okay, fuck. That was a lie. He kind of knew what to expect. Oliver wasn't here to tell her the news and it was left on Roy and now Roy was probably going to get the brunt of Thea Queen. Which, hell, he'd take it if it wasn't for the circumstances. He was bound and determined to not see Thea ever again. He couldn't show his face in Star City. Their time was over, but now they were here.
In Salem.
It wasn't what romance was really made of. It seemed a little too fucked up for his tastes, but he'd take it. Because he was here with her. And then there was Felicity and Laurel, but Thea. Yeah, being here meant something to him and oddly, he didn't want to leave.
