Thea was freaking out. She didn't really know how to deal with Roy considering he was from a time before her. Again. Why did this keep happening? It was weird enough dealing with Laurel who was a year ahead of Thea. But that was nothing compared to Roy talking about leaving her. Laurel had also implied that Thea and Roy weren't together anymore. What had happened to them?
That was why Thea didn't hug him when she answered the door. She just held it open so he could let himself in. She didn't want to hug her ex-boyfriend that she didn't even remember breaking up with. And she still had no idea what his big secret was and why Sin could know about it but Thea couldn't. She loved him, all she ever wanted to do was help him and all he did was push her away. Why did she even bother?
Because you love him, an inner voice reminded her. It was true. She really did love Roy. He was the very last thing she expected, some purse snatcher from The Glades. She was Thea Queen. But it didn't matter, she fell in love with the boy from the wrong side of the tracks. She couldn't help herself.
"You want something to drink or something?" she asked him awkwardly. Because she really felt like she was standing in her hotel room with a stranger. He was further ahead then she was, how much further she did not know but it didn't matter. Thea was starting to feel seriously left out.
Thea felt like she could use a drink, something stiff. But she knew that now wasn't the time to slip back into old habits and get fucked up to deal.
