Aria wasn't going to come to the party at first. It didn't feel right to go anywhere without Jake and the fact that it was Valentine's? It just felt wrong. Aria went with every intention of waiting it out. She knew that Jake was going to try and get out of his shift a little early to meet her at the party. All she wanted was just one free night away from the worry and the stress. It was almost like she was a loner. The rest of the girls were dealing with their own issues and Aria was desperately trying to figure out A's game.
The drinks weren't strong enough drinks. Aria was at the bar waiting, her eyes catching the sight of Emily and Karolina. Toby and Mona. They all seemed to be lost in their own little worlds. She wanted to speak to them but she didn't want to interrupt their evening. They didn't need to be dragged into her drama over A. Right now there wasn't anything to worry about...
The buzzing of her phone nearly took Aria by surprise. She hoped to find a message from Jake saying he was on his way but instead she found a cryptic text that forced Aria to stand up quickly, her gaze circling the crowd, as if she was trying to find someone who had their phone out.
"Hanna?" Aria read the message over a few times. Aria didn't remember seeing Hanna at all. Why was she in the bathroom? Was she okay? Aria didn't think that her small legs could move her fast enough. Aria feared that something might have happened to one of her best friends.
She didn't have time to text any of the others. Aria raced to the bathroom and threw it open, half expecting to see something ominous - red coat, something from her past to signify that A was really back. Aria stepped forward and didn't even noticeable the audible lock of the door behind her.
"Hanna?" Aria called out, her eyes on the last stall. The drumming of Aria's heart was so loud in her head as she walked closer and that's when she noticed it - the blood - black liquid stretching out from underneath the stall. A shaky hand was all that was needed to push the stall open and what Aria saw made her hear drop.
She screamed - not because it was actually Hanna but because there was a dead girl sitting inside of the stall, her throat ripped out viciously. Aria ran to the bathroom exit but it was locked. "Somebody help me! Please. Somebody help!"
