Once they were finished dancing, the two of them sat back down and basically watched people all night. He knew that Thea was concerned with whether or not they were having a good time, and it seemed like they were. Whatever she had expected to get out of this party was hopefully there because the place was packed, people were drinking and eating and dancing and taking part in the little attractions that were in the room, like the photo booth. Which was just more money spent on Opus. All in all, the night was a success.
He sipped his water at this point because he didn't want to get drunk. He just wanted to be comfortable and not nervous. Whatever buzz he did have before from his two drinks, it was gone now, but the nerves were gone too so that was all that mattered. He didn't need it to be around Thea, he needed it to be around ... all of these people and the night in general.
Which was still young.
He felt her squeeze his hand and he glanced back over toward her, raising his eyebrows at her question when she arched her brow. It wasn't about work, or checking on something it was about them and he just smiled.
"Do I really need to answer that?" He asked and brought her hand to his mouth, kissing it. Getting up from the table, he waited for Thea to do the same before they headed back to her office for a little alone time at the Valentine's Day party.
