"I do but I shouldn't," Thea said. It was easy for Thea to overindulge. She did drink still since that had never been her true vice. But she was an addict and anything like alcohol had to be tread on lightly. It was a slippery slope for Thea and her anxiety was at an all time high tonight. She had fought with some of the scariest people in the world and yet this party was the thing that scared the shit out of her. Some superhero.
"Maybe just a ginger ale?" She smiled at him. He was irresistible and she wasn't sure how she was coping back home without him. That was assuming that he was able to keep his distance. Thea hoped that he wasn't. She hoped it for some alternate version of herself that she didn't know. Yet. It was possible that Thea would meet this hypothetical version of herself someday. She had done it once before. She had learned that her brother was the vigilante and that Malcolm Merlyn was her father in Salem. Then she had gone back home and relearned it all. It seemed cruel now that she thought of it that way.
Her smile turned wry as Roy approached the bar, presumably to order her soda. She looked around. People were beginning to fill the place up. Everyone was dressed for the occasion. Most people had drinks in their hands, pretty pink drinks and dark whiskeys. She and Damon had worked on the menu together in order to come up with the best cocktails for the occasion.
She let out a breath that she had been holding now that she realized that her party was a hit and things were going well. She knew it was never a good idea to let her guard down totally. There were a few people in her life that had instilled that idea into her. But Thea let her guard down slightly.
"Oh, hey." She smiled as she took the soda from her boyfriend. The glass was slim and delicate as it pressed into her palm. She took a quick sip, lamenting for only a second that she was going to get a sugar rush from this drink and nothing else. She had become remarkably responsible somewhere along the way.
"What do you think? Think people are having fun?" she asked him, worry etched into her hazel eyes.
