Seth wished that he had a gun. That he had something more feasible. The quad blaster seemed flimsy. Seth wasn't used to it and he didn't know how to shoot it properly let alone use it to fight off fucking dinosaurs. Seth ran with Peter, the space around them a blur as they ran through bushes and through trees, their bodies close together because Seth didn't want to lose track of one of two people in his life that gave a damn about whether or not he lived or died. At least that's what Seth thought - that Peter gave a damn.
They were running aimlessly and Seth knew that was going to get them killed. They couldn't outrun raptors. They would eventually die because one of them was going to caught them off. Seth didn't know why they stopped when they did, his fingers wrapped around Peter's wrist, pulling roughly. "What the fuck? Why are we stopping?" Did Peter suddenly want to die? Seth wasn't about to let that happen, his eyes narrowed when Peter started talking.
The plan didn't sound like a great plan. It wasn't like they were just facing off against one raptor. There was a whole pack and what if one of them managed to dodge the triceratops? Seth didn't know what to say. It wasn't like they had another option. There was no other option.
"Look, if I die." Seth didn't know what to say. He wanted for Peter to maybe tell Buffy that he was sorry for being a creep but it wasn't like they were actually together or anything. Maybe him dying out here was better for everyone. Being killed off was better for the whole world because Seth was a piece of shit. The worst of the worst.
"Let's just do this," Seth finished, his eyes on Peter, waiting for him.
