When Seth called him a dick, it caused another wave of laughter and Peter was left doubled over, his hands holding his stomach. Holy shit, he nearly pissed himself he was laughing so hard. He probably shouldn't have gotten so much enjoyment from spooking a friend but it was just so funny. Man, he wished he'd recorded that for days he needed a good pick me up. Nothing was better than a prank gone right.
"Totally satisfied," Peter barely managed to confirm between his bouts of laughter. He took in a deep breath in an attempt to calm down and held it until he was good but his lips were still curled up in an amused smirk. "Fine, fine, I'll help you look. Better hope it didn't land in a giant pile of dinosaur shit." His helmet let him see everything clearly even in the darkness and he found Seth's phone in no time flat. Lucky for him, it was only a few feet away with no poop in sight.
"Found it!" He swiped it off the ground and held it out to Seth. "Okay, so, you being scared shitless aside, I really did text you here to show you some dinosaurs and don't give me any looks, you saw the picture, dude." Before Seth could argue or bitch about not wanting to be out in the cold, Peter grabbed his arm and started to drag him towards the triceratops he'd left behind. His friend needed to stop being so damn stiff and loosen up for once even if only for a night.
The closer they got, the slower Peter moved so he wouldn't scare the ancient animal or any of its pals that might have been hanging around. Fortunately, the grass eater hadn't gone far and was still grazing on stubborn bushes that hadn't wilted with the cold weather. Without so much as a word, Peter took out his ear piece, slid it into Seth's ear and pressed the button to activate his helmet. He pointed straight ahead and with his newly enhanced vision, there was no way Seth was going to miss seeing the enormous triceratops eating.
"Still think I'm lying now," he muttered quietly. The dino looked a hell of a lot bigger from the ground than when Peter had been on its back. He shot Seth an 'I told you so' look and let him take a moment to let it sink in that yeah, they were only a few yards away from something that had gone extinct millions of years ago.
He reveled in being right until he heard a couple twigs snap not too far from where they were standing. "Hey, use the helmet to check out what's going on over there."
