"Pool party, man." Sam joked while being half serious. A pool party in this weather would be impossible. "But yeah, dinner party. Do the whole potluck thing, you know?"
He appreciated that Steve didn't use his Stretch Armstrong strength. There was nothing cool about getting knocked to the floor by his best friend. Hell, if Bucky had found out? The dude would probably have loved laughing at him looking like a straight up fool. "Good, I'd hate to complain."
This place really did take a lot out of people. He didn't even know all the horrible things that had happened in this town, all he really knew was the stuff he had been told or experienced. Salem was a place of nightmares and second chances. It was like this place wanted to give them hope so it could kick them all right in the gut. Yeah, Salem was that one town that liked to stab people in the brains with screwdrivers.
And yet, somehow, Sam didn't really want to leave. Staying here, all of them staying, meant Steve got to be with Bucky. It also meant Bucky wasn't frozen so, yeah, Sam wanted everyone to stay.
He watched Steve snag the energy bars and wrinkled his nose in disgust.
The question about sleep caught him off guard. He frowned faintly as he gave a shrug. "I don't know, man. Don't really set a timer when I fall asleep." He winced at the sarcasm he let out. "I guess like...3 hours at most?"
Another shrug and he was moving to the fridge to grab some orange juice. He tried not to look obvious, but he totally sniffed the juice to make sure it wasn't cheese water again. That shit had been nasty!
