Different moms. Klara could understand that since sometimes women died during childbirth or because of something else. Men remarried and continued having children. She had been lucky and never got pregnant. She hadn't had to worry about dying from trying to have her awful husband's kid. Most girls probably looked forward to having kids, but at this point in her life? Klara wanted nothing except the right to live her own life.
"You aren't boring," she had calmed drastically and her stance changed ever so slightly. She was still ready to attack, but she wasn't sure she wanted to attack him anymore. He was doing a pretty decent job of convincing her that he meant no harm. "Boring would be behaving like everyone else."
There was a second while she debated something. Finally Klara gave him a very tiny smile, one that screamed she still didn't trust him. "I'm Klara, who are you?"
