Shane just watched her as she spoke about Bruce and Tony and this Peter. Who the hell was Peter? Gosh, what the hell was she the only chick here? Shane didn't feel too comfortable with it. Which meant that he would be over a lot. Sure, the appeal of her coming over to his place was nice, but her well being was more important to him than getting to second base. Maybe third if he was lucky? It wasn't about that. Claire was a great girl. She was strong and smart and she had morals and shit like that.
Seth would have been just content playing video games all day and night with a longneck in front of him. He had no goals whatsoever. He just didn't care.
But being with Claire made him care?
Anyway.
"Peter, huh?" Shane looked at her and then smiled a little. He decided to let it go for now because it wasn't as if they both didn't know what would happen. Shane was highly protective of her. And of Michael. And Eve. It wasn't a secret. Claire knew what she was getting herself into. She knew the deal.
"I don't know, I thought the pebble tossing was kind of romantic and girls like that," he teased. He didn't know what girls liked. He just knew that a lot of them were good for one thing and Claire wasn't like those girls.
He did want to take her bowling though.
"You know I'm just teasing you right. I know you're not like other girls." He just didn't want her to feel pressured. Besides, there was so much going on right now that sex was the furthest thing from his mind. Okay, so it wasn't but he could pretend.
