Shane didn't really care about the food at the moment. The only thing he cared about was the person who was hugging him. Really right. Which kind of sucked because even Shane knew he stank but Claire didn't seem to mind too much. No, not everything could be found in a book and maybe he was a dork, but he was Claire's dork and that's what mattered. When she finally did pull away, he looked at the food that was set aside and instead of going for that, he went for her. Sitting down next to her on the bed, he reached for her hand. The only person he had here was her and it wasn't as if he could stay here.
He had his own place with his new things and it was just odd to him, but he was actually kind of digging it. But leaving Claire though - he wasn't so sure about that.
"Tell me about here," he sad, looking around. "Here meaning not Salem, but like, here - who you live with." Because Shane wanted to know if she was going to be okay. More than anything, he wanted Claire with him, but that was up to her. He might just build a fort in the backyard just so he could watch her, but that would be crazy right? No, he couldn't do that.
Well ...
No, he couldn't.
"I seem to have a place is all. It's kind of odd. Going from living with four people to living on my own in a strange city. I think I even have to get a job too." He made a face at her. "The horror," he smiled and nudged her shoulder.
