And life went back to being annoying. The cranky Shadowhunter reentered the cafe and shot one of the waitresses a look. The look she gave back in return clearly spelled trouble. His eyebrow inched upwards as he turned around just in time to witness the group of guys enter the cafe. Well, that was new.
Some mundane attacking Alec wasn't anything that was concerned him. The excess of emotions he was feeling had him hoping this fight turned serious. He tended to use his fists to get his feelings out. There would be less bloodshed if he just turned around now and used the punching bag, but he merely flashed the thugs a cold smile.
Later, he would apologize to Magnus, but right now he was going to get some rage out. Before he could move to attack, well, there was suddenly a tiny blonde standing between him and the jerks. His eyes widened faintly as he glanced down at her. What the Hell was going on? Oh, he wasn't about to judge her size because he knew plenty of petite women that could kill demons. Even Clary had managed to be a killer force at times, not that he would ever admit that out loud.
Shit! Things were escalating and he hadn't even done something this time! The girl was clearly going to hold her own, but Alec suddenly had a slight fear for the cafe. He had already damaged the place once. There was an audible hiss of pain that he let out as the tiny terror bashed a dude's head into a table. Yeah, this was why people shouldn't leave Alec in charge of the cafe. Brawls broke out it seemed.
The sound of breaking glass had him using his inhuman speed to appear behind one of the idiots. Alec reached out and hooked his arm around the guy's neck while his free hand dislocated a shoulder. The broken bottle slammed into the tile floor where it exploded into a cloud of angry glass. His arm tightened against the neck resulting in the man's face starting to turn a nice shade of red.
"No one is drawing blood inside of my damn cafe," he snapped. Okay, it wasn't his cafe, it his lover's, but shouting that just didn't seem so impressive. "All of you, outside now," his voice had taken on his Head of the Institute Voice, deadly and serious. "I don't care if she kicks all of your asses outside, but it is not happening in here." The man he was gripping was suddenly shoved at someone who was trying poorly to sneak up on the girl. The two idiots collided and Alec glared at the blonde.
"Blade," he lashed out with a mean right hook over the girl's head and the sound of a fist breaking bone filled the air. The surprisingly not human who had actually dared to draw a knife in the cafe was suddenly yelling in agony. Salem was designed to give Alec a migraine, that was the only explanation for the people not to all be human. He was not about to yank a Seraph blade free in the cafe again. He doubted his sort of uncle was going to fix the place all over again because Alec got happy with his weapon. "We can't break the windows, but we need to get them away from the customers." Okay, he didn't know the blonde, but she clearly wanted to fight so he was picking her for his team.
Alec flashed her a real smile before yanking one of the thugs outside. Others started to follow him, but some seemed more interested in the girl. Whatever, this was going to be better then punching a boxing bag.
