Who: Oliver Queen and Jace Wayland
Where: Town Cemetery
What: Horror Anthology Match Up
When: The night it’s posted (started in gdocs will be continued over here)
Rating: Medium - Jace is being buried alive, language should be a safe bet
Jace didn’t know how he’d ended up in this coffin. He’d been out on patrol, trying to keep an eye on the streets of Salem and keep everyone safe when someone had managed to get the jump on him. Hitting him from behind and knocking him out and when he’d woken up he’d been here. He’d struggled for a few minutes, shouting to be let out but then he’d stopped, the part of his brain that remembered everything from his training kicking in and reminding him that he was going to use up his oxygen quicker that way. No he needed to stay as calm and quiet as possible, listen for any sound of movement outside and then make noise. And hope and pray to the Angel that his siblings realized he was missing soon and came looking for him.
He was going to have to up his training after this, figure out some way to avoid being snuck up on again.

He wasn’t sure where the memo came from or how it was even picked up on his comms device. The words were coded and after sending them to Salem Tech Oliver discovered that there was a secret message hidden inside - someone is buried when they shouldn’t be. What did it mean? Oliver was confused but he didn’t think he could ignore it. It only took him a few minutes to dawn his Green Arrow outfit before heading out to the cemetery. It was the only place that made sense as Oliver took to the building rooftops, taking a small shortcut until he was at the large cemetery gates.
Oliver didn’t have a clue on how he was going to find someone that wasn’t supposed to be buried. Oliver knew that the cemetery was vast and it wasn’t like he could check every single grave site. As soon as Oliver stepped forward his communication device beeped and the frequency wasn’t one Oliver was familiar with.
Welcome to the game, Green Arrow. I’m so glad I was able to bring you out here tonight.
“Who is this?” Oliver asked, his brows lifting as he looked around, not seeing anyone. “Are you the person who sent that coded message? What do you want?”
I’m just a fan -- really. I wanted to be a part of the things you do everyday and I thought why not help you save someone? Sure, I may...have set all of this up but I promise everything will be worth it in the end.

Jace heard the voice of someone above in the cemetery and started pounding on the top of the coffin he was in, shouting. “Help! Whoever’s up there I need help!” He said, hating the feeling of being weak like this. He hated being dependent on anyone else. It was different with Alec - they were supposed to rely on each other. It was part of the parabatai bond.
He waited a few minutes, listening carefully to the sounds around him, glad that he’d started using a rune to help his hearing lately, heightening his sense even more. He heard them moving closer to where he was buried and pounded on the coffin lid again, shouting as loud as he could. “Help!”

Whoever this person was obviously had mental issues but Oliver couldn’t deal with that right now. The had to find whoever was buried alive and fast because of the lack of oxygen. Oliver went to work by sweeping the cemetery, running and looking down, trying to find evidence of fresh dirt. There were a few plots that looked as if they had been freshly shoveled and Oliver wondered if it was there to throw him off.
It took Oliver a moment, his eyes catching a white piece of something sticking up from the ground. It was a tube...something that was buried and Oliver realized it was there to keep someone from getting oxygen. Dropping to his knees, Oliver brought his fingers deep into the soils and started to dig, lumps of dirt grabbed and shoved away as Oliver started to search for a coffin, a box, something that was going to have a body.

Jace pounded on the top of the coffin harder when he heard someone digging above him, wishing he had his stele or one of his blades available so that he could use it to help get himself out. He was fighting down the waves of panic, or at least trying to. He was definitely doubling down on training after this. Doing whatever he could to keep from getting snuck up on again. And if he ever found out who’d put him in this box he was going to knock them out the way they did him. Only when they came too they’d be in a jail cell not buried. “I can hear you!” He shouted, hoping the person didn’t have to dig that much further.

Oliver could hear him too, but barely. The frustration in Oliver’s body began to boil. He needed a shovel, something that could be used to dig but there wasn’t anytime to look. The more time that Oliver wasted the less chance that whoever was buried was going to be able to get out alive. Oliver didn’t want to lose them. He couldn’t just leave them down there, buried with the worms and dirt.
“I’m almost there,” Oliver said, yelling down as he could feel his gloved fingers scrape against wood. Oliver did his best to move the large clumps of dirt out of the way. He knew he wasn’t going to be able to uncover the entire coffin but maybe he could at least uncover just enough to punch his way through the top.
“I’m going to have to break the wood. Close your eyes.” Oliver shifted, moving so that he was more adjacent to the coffin so that he could bring down his fist against the firm piece of plywood. It hurt, Oliver could feel his knuckles burning but he didn’t stop. He needed to save this person.
