Laurel didn't realize that she and Cisco having a friendly little boxing match would turn into something much greater. Even she was a little nervous, but she tried to focus on him. Not on the people, their friends, who were watching them. And it wasn't helping that Cisco was calling them all out for wanting to watch this. She didn't think he was serious though and it was all in good fun but it felt like a lot of pressure.
"I won't hurt you, I promise," she tried. She wanted to assure him but Laurel boxing with Cisco was like Laurel boxing with Felicity. It just didn't happen and it wasn't that Laurel was the best, it was just the act in general. Oliver had trained her a lot since coming to Salem and she felt more confident but it wasn't as if she could just go all Black Canary on him. Besides, she still wanted her device.
"Relax, it's okay," she told him again as he put up his gloves and Laurel walked to him and whispered, "Just focus on me." She pulled back, giving him a small smile before stepping back and getting into her stance. It took a minute, they circled eachother and Laurel was waiting but it didn't seem like he was ready to throw a punch to her yet and in the interest of starting the round, she did and it landed right on his cheek.
Cisco stumbled back, nearly falling and Laurel looked apologetic. "Are you okay?"
